Sitaram Trading

Kingdom is delighted to announce that they have been awarded another major contract to provide security services in India.

Kingdom is now providing security to the Sitaram Trading Company in Trichur (or Thrissur) in Kerala, India, providing 22 security guards.

The Sitaram Trading Company is a leading distributor and agent for a wide range of consumer products, including personal care products, creams, powders, soaps and shampoos.

The Sitaram Trading Company is part of the Sitaram Group, which is one of the oldest business houses in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It was established in 1908 by Sri. T. S. Balarama Iyer. Under his leadership, Sitaram Spinning and Weaving Mills, south India’s first weaving mill, was started. This was the beginning of a business empire which is now dominant among the leading business groups in Kerala.

The founder of the business had a vision for the years ahead which was followed by his son, Mr. T. B. Subbarama Iyer, and is now being followed by his four sons, ensuring that the group maintains its high standard. So, the group’s entire distribution network is looked after by the eldest son Mr. T. S. Balaraman. Mr. T. S. Venkitaraman, the second son, is in charge of the packing units. The Clearing Forwarding Unit is headed by Mr. T. S. Sivaraman, while the youngest son, Mr. T. S. Sitaram, is in charge of the automobile segment of the group. Mr. T. B. Subbarama Iyer coordinates the overall activities of the Sitaram Group of companies. The Group’s corporate office is located in Punkunnam, in the Trichur District of Kerala.

Kingdom announced in May 2016 that they were now able to support their UK customers that also need security services on the Indian sub continent, and that the new initiative would act as a launch pad for pan India and Middle East operations in the future. Kingdom took over an Indian security company that is based in Kochi in the southern Indian state of Kerala.

As well as providing a guarding service and specialised and customised security solutions, they aim to help the uneducated sector to develop their hidden skills and secure their lives by providing job opportunities across Kerala. They are planning to utilise the Kerala government’s skill development programme in the security sector.
