Kingdom is very pleased to have had their contract renewed for a second year to continue to provide security guarding services to the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) in the southern Indian state of Kerala.
FISAT is a private, self-financing engineering college which was established and is run by the Federal Bank Officers’ Association Educational Society (FBOAES). This is an initiative of the Federal Bank Officers’ Association (FBOA), which is the sole representative body of the officers of the Federal Bank. It is affiliated to the Kerala Technological University (KTU) and the Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, Kerala, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi.
It is based in Mookannoor, which is near Angamaly in the Ernakulam District of Kerala in southern India. Mookannoor was the birth place of the founder of The Federal Bank, the late K P Hormis, and thus the FISAT campus was named “Hormis Nagar” in honour of his memory.
The institute was established in 2002 and has been designed and developed to become a “Centre of Excellence” in professional education – in fact, their motto is “Focus on Excellence.” Their aim is to enhance the quality and value of education, and to develop high quality individuals. This has been demonstrated by the students there having received excellent results in academic work, placements, extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
The institute has a unique position in the professional education sector in south India, having carved out a niche for itself. It conducts six B.Tech courses in Engineering, an MBA programme (with specialisation in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, Production & Operations Management and International Business), an MCA programme (three years & two years Lateral Entry) and six M.Tech courses. It was accredited by NAAC with an A grade, and has received the coveted ISO 9001:20015 certification. To find out more about FISAT, please visit http://www.fisat.ac.in/
Kingdom has had a presence in India since May 2016, when we announced that we would now be able to support our UK customers that also need security services on the Indian sub continent. Kingdom took over an Indian security company based in Kochi in the southern Indian state of Kerala, and announced that the new initiative would act as a launch pad for pan India and Middle East operations in the future.
As well as providing a guarding service and specialised and customised security solutions, Kingdom is aiming to help the uneducated sector to develop their hidden skills and secure their lives by providing job opportunities across Kerala. We are planning to utilise the Kerala government’s skill development programme in the security sector.
